An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist to work within the reception at Danetre Hospital, Daventry. This reception area provides support to a range of community based mental health services. We are seeking individuals who have an enthusiasm to achieve excellent customer service and understanding that you will be the first point of contact for service users, carers, professionals and members of the public in the reception area. This will be face to face as people arrive as well as managing incoming telephone calls to ensure the person is directed to the correct department therefore a helpful and professional approach is required. Excellent organisational skills are needed to ensure the smooth running and interface with clinical teams. A positive attitude and problem solving approach is essential as well as having the ability to adapt your communication styles to meet the needs of a diverse range of people. General Duties Include To act as the first point of contact for anyone accessing the services within Danetre on reception and support the administrative function enabling effective and efficient services to be delivered. To provide a quality and professional ‘front of house’ reception service to patients, family and staff attending the department. To work in a collaborative manner with all teams within Danetre and other health care staff/agencies as appropriate. To collect and disseminate the post. To book rooms as appropriate for clinics and/or meetings. To understand and maintain a high standard of confidentiality, adhering to the Trust Data Protection Policy. To apply a flexible approach to the job, meeting the changing needs of the Directorate and Trust. Ensure messages are taken clearly and concisely and passed to the relevant member of staff in a timely manner. Answer telephone enquiries in an appropriate manner reporting information to patients, nursing staff and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
