The role will be a Sunday – Friday role with working hours between 10pm and 6am

The Lead Loss Prevention Officer serves as the strategic driver for security initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and proactive risk management tailored to customer specific needs.

1. To Develop and manage the audit programme based on comprehensive data analysis, ensuring alignment with Operational Excellence
\n
2. Analyse trends in loss prevention data to inform strategic decision-making and improve operational outcomes.
\n
3. Oversee audit reporting, providing timely and actionable insights to Smiths News and Metro senior leadership.
\n
4. Lead and mentor Loss Prevention Officers to ensure consistent application of best practices and professional development.
\n
5. Collaborate cross-functionally to implement preventative measures, enhance security practices, and reduce loss.
\n
6. To assist the Security & Loss Prevention Manager and customer management in the investigation of areas of ‘loss’ using specialist skills and experience to identify and advise remedial action to be taken to reduce deficiencies.
\n
7. To conduct planned audits on driver routes including inspections at delivery points at Train Stations, Underground stations and at the distribution despatch centre.
