Our client is looking to recruit a Financial Controller on a part-time basis between 20 - 25 hours per week. Great dynamic company to work for with a large number of orders and a supportive Management team.
The annual salary would be around £35-45k based on full-time hours, therefore this would be pro-rated to the equivalent salary based on the hours per week.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the collection, analysis and consolidation of financial data in the effective management of the company's finances.
2. The development, documentation and maintenance of financial controls, processes and systems and ensure that these are in line with statutory and senior management requirements.
3. Managing and coordinating all day-to-day accounting operations - this usually includes Billing, Debt Collection, Creditor Payments, VAT, Payroll, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Stock Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
4. Coordinating the preparation of budget and financial forecasting and reporting any variances.
5. Preparing and publishing all monthly financial statements.
6. Creating reports (annual and monthly) which identify results, trends, and forecasts.
7. Ensuring all transactions are recorded, filed, and reported properly.
8. Making sure reporting meets compliance standards with statutory law and financial regulations.
9. Streamlining and improving all operations and accounting systems.
10. Support the business with the financial strategy and decision-making processes.
11. Lead, manage, supervise, mentor, and motivate the finance team.
12. Find expansion opportunities and maximize profits through the analysis of market trends.
13. Propose solutions to identified risks, and effectively manage shareholder expectations.
14. Advise on alternate sources of business finance and different ways of raising finance.
