Position Title: Business Development Executive
Location: Bristol
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: up to £35,000 based on experience plus £10,000 commission.
We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Executive to join our growing team. The role focuses on generating leads, developing relationships with potential clients, and supporting the broader sales team in achieving its targets. Previous experience in sales, particularly in finance or cloud ERP systems, is advantageous but not essential. You will be responsible for driving new business and contributing to Xledger’s growth within the market.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and generate new business leads in line with company objectives.
* Support the Sales Manager and team in building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline.
* Engage with potential clients and develop relationships to convert leads into opportunities.
* Achieve assigned sales targets and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Collaborate with marketing to create campaigns and initiatives that attract new prospects.
* Provide updates and reports to the Sales Manager on pipeline activity and progress.
* Work alongside presales consultants to ensure proper resource allocation and solution alignment.
* Support the transition of successful sales accounts to the delivery and customer success teams.
Qualifications and Skills:
* At least 1-2 years’ experience in a sales or business development role.
* Proven ability to meet targets and KPIs.
* Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, events, and conferences.
* A self-motivated individual with a drive to succeed and develop within a sales environment.
* Basic understanding of finance and ERP systems, with a willingness to learn more about Xledger’s offerings.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Comfortable with lead generation and networking to identify new business opportunities.
* Proactive in seeking out support and advice from peers and the wider team.
