Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with diverse learning needs? We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our team at a highly supportive and inclusive secondary SEN school in Bolton. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with students who present a range of needs, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate and Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities (MLD & PMLD), Global Development Delays, and Down’s Syndrome.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for:
* Planning, delivering, and evaluating engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of each student.
* Marking and assessment of student work, ensuring progress is regularly tracked and communicated.
* Differentiating curriculum content and implementing strategies that support the development of skills and learning outcomes for students with various special needs.
* Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff, and external professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
* Developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and regularly reviewing these to align with each student’s progress and evolving needs.
Key Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience working in an SEN setting.
* A compassionate, patient approach, with excellent communication skills to engage students, parents, and staff.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to adapt teaching styles to meet diverse learning needs.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and the ethos of inclusive education.
