Our new Bowman Court service will consist of 12 apartments and shared facilities for the service users, supporting people with Learning Disabilities.
As a Team Leader, you will provide support to our Supported Living Services, delivering specialised person-centred support. Radis recognises each person as an individual and provides a unique service tailored to their specific needs, ensuring a consistent approach throughout their life.
You will work alongside the Managers of our Supported Living Services, overseeing the smooth running of these services, completing regular audits, checks, supervisions, spot checks, updating and reviewing support plans, and working to ensure that individuals achieve their outcomes.
The role will require you to schedule and allocate work to the Support Workers, support with medication, personal care tasks, and cover shifts within the services.
You will also be required to participate in the on-call system.
Skills and Qualifications required for the role:
1. Previous experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities, autism, and mental health issues.
2. Previous experience as a Team Leader is advantageous but not essential.
3. The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, working towards Level 3.
4. Good written and verbal communication skills.
5. A willingness to learn in line with clients' needs and expectations.
We are a great team who would like to help you achieve your true potential. If you have never worked in care, we are happy to support you and welcome you to the fulfilling world of care. This is a rewarding role, and every day is different. Full training will be provided, working towards the Care Certificate, including other training courses such as Learning Disability Awareness, Autism Awareness, and Mental Health Awareness.
Join us at Radis Community Care, a leading provider of community-based social care and support for thousands of vulnerable adults and children in England and Wales. We care for a range of service users, including the elderly and people with physical and/or learning disabilities.
