Are you an experienced nurse with a passion for supporting children and young people with ADHD? We are seeking a dedicated Specialist Nurse - ADHD (Independent/Supplementary Prescriber V300) to join our well-established team in South Staffordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in providing assessment, diagnosis, and management of ADHD within a supportive and multidisciplinary environment. About the Role: As a key member of the Community Paediatrics Team, you will: Conduct preliminary assessments and contribute to the diagnostic process for ADHD. Lead nurse-led clinics, supporting children, young people, and their families through pre- and post-diagnosis care. Act as a Non-Medical Prescriber, ensuring safe and effective medication management in line with national guidelines. Work closely with Consultant Paediatricians, GPs, schools, social services, and other agencies to provide a holistic and family-centred approach to care. Provide expert guidance, training, and support to families, educational settings, and professionals to promote understanding and effective management of ADHD. Facilitate smooth transitions for young people moving into adult ADHD services. Participate in service development, audits, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care. What We’re Looking For: Registered Nurse with active NMC registration. V300 Independent/Supplementary Prescriber qualification. Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs and neurodevelopmental conditions, particularly ADHD. Strong assessment and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex information from various sources. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with young people, families, and multidisciplinary teams. A proactive and compassionate approach to delivering high-quality patient care.
