We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and self-motivated Counsellor to join the UHD Staff Psychological Support and Counselling Service. The successful applicant needs to have demonstrated experience of providing short-term pre and post bereavement support and counselling in both individual and group settings.
You must have excellent clinical counselling skills, be a good communicator and have a keen interest in health and well-being. You should be able to work effectively alone, and as part of the multidisciplinary team. You will have achieved BACP (or equivalent) Accreditation, or have submitted and be awaiting the outcome.
The role will hold a clinical caseload providing assessments and psychological interventions for pre and post bereavement related difficulties. You will also be working closely with the Psychological Support and Counselling Service in developing a holistic proactive approach across the Trust.
The post-holder will be reporting to the Senior Counsellor and Clinical Lead for the Psychological Support and Counselling Service.
Location:
Royal Bournemouth and Poole Hospital. Cross site working is required.
