Kitchen Operative
Salary: £ per hour (£27,851 per year) plus excellent company benefits
Late Shift details: working Monday - Friday from 16:00pm until 01:00am, with an element of flexibility required during peak season
40 Hours per week

Exciting opportunity for you to join our Production colleagues based at Fresh Kitchen (Sysco) site in Bicester. You'll be handling, prepping & weighing ingredients ready for manufacture.
As Kitchen Operative you will be in contact with vegetables, meats, fish, and various mixes. You'll be following a recipe to cook in various methods from in a brat pan, oven or large kettle, please note this may need physical manual stirring and mixing. You can also expect this position to involve lifting, bending, stretching, and standing depending on the area you are allocated. You'll have a commitment to ensure production areas are always clean and presentable adopting a ‘clean as you go” approach.
As a team we follow the daily/weekly production plan that is in line with a production schedule, following the production systems, procedures, and policies. You'll support with Support daily/weekly/monthly stock takes. Leaving a traceable account of activity by completing the necessary paperwork in particular ensuring items are clearly batch coded and stock rotated.
To join us in this role you will have good powers of concentration and observation with an ability to pay attention to detail even when tasks are repetitive. You'll be a team player and take responsibility for quality, legality and safety of the food manufactured. Working conditions vary you can expect to carry out duties in both a cold or hot production area, full PPE will be provided. You'll need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills. As Kitchen Operative you will take correct care and safe use of all company equipment (if authorised and trained to use the appropriate equipment) and comply to all relevant legislation (H&S, Hygiene, BRC, etc.) reporting any violations to your line manager.
