Leading UK fencing contractor is looking to recruit an Apprentice Steel Fabricator. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to undertake a crucial role within our fast-growing & progressive business. This is a rewarding and progressive role suited to an energised and motivated individual.
Key Responsibilities
* Cutting, grinding, painting and shaping steel
* Understanding Fabrication drawings, standard fencing specifications and fabrication methods
* General checks to Machinery, along with basic maintenance and safety checks
* Forklift operations (if qualified), loading and unloading lorries
* Fabricating, making alterations and repairing various items
* Working in a safe manner adhering to company guidelines
* Keeping fabrication unit clean, safe and tidy
* Attending training courses as required
Experience and Qualifications
Necessary:
* Ability to read drawings
* Ability to use tools and equipment
* Receive and handle fabrication and fencing materials
* Be able to maintain working relationships
Desired:
* Ability to weld
* Full Driving License
* Forklift operator’s card
