The Role
As an Area Sales Manager, you will drive sales and expand Saniflo’s presence across key sectors in your designated territory. This role is a perfect opportunity for a dynamic sales professional with a passion for building relationships and delivering value-based solutions. You will engage with a diverse range of customers, including installers, regional contractors, social housing providers, installers, and merchants, to ensure Saniflo is the preferred choice in every project.
Territory
This is an exciting opportunity to cover a large and dynamic area, offering significant growth potential. You will manage a broad geographical region covering Northern England, engaging with a wide customer base, from independent merchants to installers & contractors. With comprehensive support from the business, including ongoing training, marketing resources, and technical expertise, you will have the tools needed to maximise sales and build strong relationships within your territory. Your ability to manage and develop this area effectively will be key to your success in the role.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage a portfolio of customers, ensuring strong trading relationships.
* Achieve KPI’s set out by your line manager on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
* Execute a structured call plan, visiting at least six customers per day.
* Secure sales beyond set targets in both volume and value, aligning with company expectations.
* Promote the Saniflo range through value-based selling, demonstrating product benefits tailored to each customer’s needs.
* Deliver product training and support to installers and merchant teams.
* Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities within your trading area.
What We Are Looking For
* Proven sales experience, ideally within the UK construction, pump specialist, plumbing, or related B2B sectors.
* Strong knowledge of value-based selling, objection handling, and benefit-led sales techniques.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Strong organisational abilities and an initiative-taking, results-driven mindset.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and CRM systems.
* A problem-solving approach with the ability to identify key customer needs.
Operational Responsibility
* Influence key decision-makers through effective sales techniques and product demonstrations.
* Drive demand through product specifications, ensuring alignment with Saniflo’s existing merchants and distributors.
* Represent Saniflo professionally at industry events, customer meetings, and training sessions.
Reporting & Communication
* Maintain accurate customer records and update the company CRM system daily.
* Submit monthly sales reports to the National Sales Manager – Saniflo.
* Share relevant market insights and customer feedback to support company strategy.
* Attend sales meetings and contribute actively to business discussions.
Work Environment
* External: 90% of the role is field based with direct customer interaction, visiting key stakeholders, and promoting Saniflo products.
* Internal: 10% dedicated to meetings, training, and reporting.
