Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster.
The Deputy Product Owner will work within a new Training Transformation process to shape the solutions and ensure valuable products are created for the Royal Navy. They will coordinate the input from Educators, Curriculum Specialists, Training Designers, VLE specialists, infrastructure, technology, and synthetic training solutions to achieve our ambition to get better trained people to the frontline faster.
This is a hybrid role working between home and HMS Collingwood, Fareham on average 2/3 days a week.
What you will be doing:
* Deputising for the Product Owner, providing day to day leadership, helping a multidisciplinary team deliver a coherent product aligned with the transformation vision for your assigned Training Delivery Unit (TDU).
* Motivating and inspiring teams to deliver exciting and achievable transformative solutions within training.
* Supporting acceleration through the Training Transformation process and delivering outcomes at pace via an Agile process.
* Ensuring that the solutions presented to the Product Owner are coherent, ambitious and transformative.
* Ensuring all elements of Training Transformation meet the needs of the educators and trainees, producing transformed, learner centric and digitally enabled training.
* Establishing the priorities and areas of focus for training improvement with the Training Delivery Unit Product Owner and the Educators.
What we're looking for:
You will have an intimate knowledge of training delivery in one of the following areas (Essential):
* Command Leadership and Management - People Centred Leadership (CLM).
* Weapons Engineering (WE).
* Communications Information Systems (CIS).
* Warfare/Warfare Support (WAR).
* Defence Diving (DDS).
You will also have:
* Proven experience preparing, presenting and delivering solutions to clients (Desirable).
* Experience working within an agile environment.
* Experience of managing projects from start to finish.
* Ability to Lead Innovation and Change.
* Must be able to go through UK SC clearance.
