We are looking for someone to lead our Neonatal Outreach Team and to support and guide them into the future which will include greater cross boundary working and also new national standards.
The Neonatal Outreach team is a small team included within our wider neonatal unit, which is friendly and forward thinking. This role involves being visible on the unit in order to prepare families for discharge and also undertaking clinical duties in the home to ensure safe practices and earlier discharge.

Main duties of the job
1. Supporting families to be effectively discharged from the neonatal unit so that they are able to confidently care for their child at home.
2. Manage the neonatal outreach team ensuring it is responsive to a changing clinical environment as well as evolving parent need.
3. The education of staff in the intricacies of good outreach processes.
4. The Neonatal Outreach Manager will work within a wider team of supportive and knowledgeable professionals who care about the quality of their work, the success of their staff and the future of neonatal care.
5. Development of guidance and standards to ensure safe practices as part of a multidisciplinary team.
6. Data collection and continuous evaluation of neonatal outreach services.
7. Annual RSV protection clinic management.

1. Registered Nurse/Midwife (Child/Adult) with current NMC registration
2. Health related first degree
3. Recognizable teaching qualification (Mentorship / MIPS / FLIPS / or Equivalent)
4. Neonatal Qualification in Specialty (QIS), ENB 405 or equivalent
5. Newborn Life Support (NLS) certification
