Our client, a well-established and highly respected Civil Engineering Main Contractor with an annual turnover of £150 million, is looking to appoint a General Foreman to their civil engineering team on a permanent basis. This role will involve working on power infrastructure projects across various locations in the East of Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
As General Foreman, you will take charge of managing all on-site operations, ensuring that all works are carried out to a consistently high standard. You will coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of projects.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience in managing all operational activities on construction sites
Proficiency in maintaining accurate and up-to-date site diaries
A strong track record in enforcing health & safety and quality control procedures
Previous experience working with a civil engineering contractor
Direct experience working on Scottish Power projects (essential)
Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on schedule and within budget
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with site teams, subcontractors, and senior management
