Job Description
Based at County Buildings, Market Street, Forfar.
This post is Workstyle 4 - Hybrid.
You will have the opportunity to benefit from our flexible and agile working practices. This means you will work from a variety of locations, including council buildings, service user's locations, site visits, and you can work from home to best suit your work, meetings, and collaboration.
This senior social care officer post is part of the Enablement and Response Service and will be responsible for managing a team of social care officers and a home care practitioner.
The remit of the team is to assess people in their own homes for ongoing support and care needs with an enablement focus, working as part of the Home First initiative, with the wider multidisciplinary team in each locality to prevent admission to hospital, and supporting people and their families to remain at home for end-of-life care.
This post is predominantly Monday to Friday; however, you will be part of a duty rota with a team of other senior social care officers to provide cover out of hours from 7 am until 10 pm, including weekends and public holidays.
Requirements
You must have the ability to become a member of the PVG Scheme.
