Chartered Building Surveyor Location: Blackpool Job Overview An opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS or AssocRICS) to join a growing team and play a key role in ongoing success. Reporting directly to leadership, the role involves managing a variety of instructions and mentoring junior team members, including assistant surveyors and placement students. Key Responsibilities Conducting residential pre-purchase and commercial pre-acquisition surveys. Investigating and reporting on building defects and pathology. Supporting and mentoring assistant surveyors and placement students. Working closely with administrative staff to ensure operational efficiency. Additional involvement across: Project Management Cost Consultancy Architectural Design Expert Witness Reports Party Wall & Neighbourly Matters Dilapidations and Schedules of Condition Qualifications & Skills RICS-accredited degree or equivalent. MRICS or AssocRICS qualified. Experience with residential surveys essential. Strong understanding of building pathology and construction methods. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage projects and teams effectively. A team player with a proactive, adaptable mindset. Full UK Driving Licence.
