Package: £30,000 - £35,000 pa + Pension + Holidays
Hours: Office based postion - Mon – Thurs 09:00 – 17:30, with an earlier finish on a Friday (free parking on site)

Role summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting large datasets to help drive data-driven decision-making across the organisation. The Data Analyst will work closely with various departments to understand their data needs, provide insights, and support business objectives.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Data Collection Cleaning and Analysis:
* Gather data from multiple sources including databases, spreadsheets, different systems and other sources.
* Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing data cleaning and preprocessing tasks.
* Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Reporting and Visualization:
* Develop and maintain dashboards and reports.
* Present findings to stakeholders through visualisations and clear, concise reports.
* Work with other teams to understand their data requirements and provide relevant insights.
Model Development:
* Build predictive models and perform advanced analytics to support business forecasting and decision-making.
* Validate and test models to ensure accuracy and robustness.
* Document methodologies, processes, and findings to maintain a clear audit trail.
* Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data analysis tasks.
Support Finance Team:
* Assist the finance department in creating Board Packs, supporting budget planning and financial forecasting.
* Assist the commission team to update and streamline their process.
* Collaborate with the finance team to streamline financial reporting processes and ensure data accuracy for strategic decision-making.
* Support regular finance team tasks such as month-end closing, credit-control and other finance tasks.
Experience & Attributes
* Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
* Accounting or Bookkeeping experience would be advantageous.
* Demonstrated expertise in utilising Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and data visualisation techniques. Applied Excel skills to streamline processes, analyse large datasets, and generate insightful reports for informed decision-making.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
* Proficiency in data visualisation tools like Power BI or similar, along with familiarity with Xero, is advantageous but not required.
* Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
