We are looking for a Trust LAS Specialist Registrar at ST3+ level to support a busy Trauma and Orthopaedic Department that consists of 20 Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultants. This is a 6 month fixed term post commencing in February 2025. Please note: This post requires some flexibility with working patterns and hours of work, but will average 40 hours per week including an admin session.
Key Responsibilities:
* The appointee will be required to assist in the supervision, teaching, training, and monitoring of more junior doctors and also the teaching and training of medical students.
* The appointee will have delegated responsibility for all the patients under the care of their Consultant/team. He/she will refer to the Consultant when problems arise which are beyond his/her authority and/or experience.
* The appointee must maintain liaison with colleagues who are on duty immediately before and after.
* It is the responsibility of the appointee to ensure that the Trauma service is managed promptly and effectively.
