Electrical Compliance Engineer, Poole, up to £70,000pa
The purpose of this role:
As the Electrical Compliance Engineer, you’ll oversee the implementation and ongoing management of compliance processes and legal requirements for this global electronics manufacturer. You'll keep up to date with the latest regulatory requirements, working with the design, development, and manufacturing functions to ensure all existing and new products are designed and delivered to meet the necessary safety and regulatory requirements.

As the Electrical Compliance Engineer, you will:
1. Create and maintain internal compliance database, ensuring all necessary reporting is completed and communicated.
2. Act as the technical authority for legal and product safety compliance.
3. Oversee compliance for development and testing of new and existing products.
4. Assist through the design, prototype, manufacturing, and delivery phases, ensuring compliance requirements are met throughout.
5. Be the point of contact for external inspection and approvals, enacting corrective actions on any non-compliance issues.
6. Oversee internal compliance audits of all procedures, documentation, and practices.
The successful Electrical Compliance Engineer will:
1. Have working knowledge of safety regulations, particularly in relation to electronics with regards to the UK, EU, and USA.
2. Be familiar with product compliance, particularly in relation to electronics / electro-mechanical systems.
3. Be able to oversee testing and ensure compliance in line with UL standards.
4. Have previous experience within a quality assurance, product approval/compliance environment.
5. Be familiar with electronics regulations such as RoHS, REACH and compliance testing such as EMC.
6. Experience within an electronics manufacturing environment would be beneficial.
