Position - Senior Project Manager
Location - UK Wide - this role will be based at one of our project sites but the ability to be mobile and travel is required

Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Reporting directly to the Project Director.
* Tender technical evaluation/ assessment
* Design management for MEP Works
* Assist in the bid and tender preparation for MEP Works and ensure that the design and technical bid submission is in line with the pricing of the work
* Assist in negotiating contracts with Subcontractors as necessary. Review and become fully conversant with all legal contracts on the Project(s)
* Obtain subcontractor bids, technically align and negotiate subcontractor bids for MEP Works
* Developing special solutions / value engineering for MEP Works
* Evaluate the bids according to commercial and technical aspects for KG400 (M&E package)
* Supporting the preparation of projects in the area of procurement and in the area of TSL-internal PCS (Project Control System)
* Responsible for managing the day to day activities of the various contractors and vendors in the delivery of projects
* Responsible for creating and managing project schedules
* Responsible for creating and managing project budgets
* Responsible for project quality assurance
* Liaise with clients where applicable and manage both their needs and expectations
* Ensure adherence of Project Delivery / Management Standards by all project participants on all projects
* Assist with preparation of requests for proposals to Subcontractors and Consultants, including detailed evaluations and recommendations
* Brief and instruct the Project Team of their roles and responsibilities
* Develop and maintain the Project Execution Plan for the project(s)
* Monitor the Project Team in their general performance of their services
* Monitor the distribution of information between the Project Team and between the Project Team and third parties
* Establish risk and opportunity management procedures and exercises including an early warning system which identifies potential risks or changes
* Ensure all project scope and risk is managed through supply chain appointments
* Responsible for handover of Project(s) to operations team, including the resolution of all defects
Skills and Experience Required
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering or closely related disciplines.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Good understanding of MEP and managing design development from RIBA 4 to 5 and change control.
* Thorough knowledge of safety standards.
* Minimum of 4 years’ experience in MEP and project management for high value infrastructure projects in the UK and Europe
