We have an exciting opportunity for a new full-time role within our busy but friendly Critical Care Unit for a Consumables and Stores Lead. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, enthusiastic, reliable and adaptable.
You will be able to work in a fast paced environment as vital member of the team. You will be responsible for the day-today provision and replenishment of essential and specific stores/consumables necessary to support the delivery of care to patients in Critical Care.
You will liaise with procurement and materials management to order stores through NHS Supply chain, Integra, pathology, pharmacy and other departments to maintain acceptable levels of equipment to an agreed stock level for the benefit of patients and staff.
You will work closely with the EBME team to ensure the smooth operational running of all medical equipment used on Critical Care, including reporting repairs and facilitating maintenance work. You will coordinate with buildings maintenance department to ensure work spaces are well maintained and fit for purpose.
You will:
• Be responsible for the day-today provision and replenishment of essential and speciality stores/consumables necessary to support the delivery of care to patients in Critical Care.
• Report any failure, repair or maintenance needed to equipment and to arrange maintenance to be undertaken
• Restock equipment as required.
• Restock unit consumables as required.
• Establish a pleasant and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards on the unit, highlighting any deficiencies
