Job summary We have an exciting opportunity to cover for maternity leave in the Clinical Safety Environment Officer role who will work within the Health, Safety and Security Team on a fixed term basis for 1 year. The role will involve a mixture of working from home and deploying to sites where physical presence or support is required. Key duties will include supporting clinical teams with the maintenance and quality of ligature assessments, undertaking annual audits of ligature assessments with clinical teams, supporting decision making relating to clinical incidents and learning, supporting a positive safety culture, escalating concerns to the relevant management lines, providing ligature training where required and writing reports and presenting to relevant committees. The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a nursing degree with relevant registration Main duties of the job Responsible for the provision of proactive specialist clinical safety support, guidance and training in order for the Trust to achieve high standard of patient and staff safety. The post holder is responsible for advising, training, monitoring and reporting progress on environmental clinical safety matters involving but not limited to, ligature points and clinical risk mitigations and best practice. The post holder will be expected to support with ligature walk rounds, assisting with ligature queries and producing reports, statistics and information both internally and externally.
