About the Role We are currently seeking experienced Security Officers to join our team at Alton Towers Resort. In this role, you’ll ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all persons visiting or working at the resort. You will also be responsible for protecting all assets from unlawful activity, including theft, and maintaining a safe environment for guests and colleagues alike. Key Responsibilities Health and Safety: Monitor and enforce Health and Safety policies to always ensure the well-being of guests and colleagues. Asset Protection: Safeguard all Resort assets by preventing and responding to incidents of theft and vandalism. Incident Response: Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action to ensure safety and security. Access Control: Manage access to restricted areas, ensuring that only authorised personnel enter specific locations. Guest Assistance: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience during their visit. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of incidents, observations, and any security-related issues, ensuring reports are filed promptly and accurately. Qualifications and Skills SIA Door Supervisor Qualification: This qualification is required for this position, demonstrating your capability to manage security in public environments. Experience in Security: Previous experience in a security role or related field is preferred, though training can be provided for the right candidate. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with guests and team members. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to identify potential security risks and respond appropriately. Customer Service Focus: A friendly and approachable attitude, ensuring a positive experience for guests while maintaining security. Drivers Liscence: Hold a full UK Drivers Liscence Ability to Work Independently: Capable of working without direct supervision and making decisions in high-pressure situations.
