Project Manager (MEP)

Key Responsibilities:
Optimisation of all project resources including labour, materials and equipment, whilst overseeing their procurement on the most cost-effective terms
Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources
Uphold exceptional standards for health and safety across the construction site
Develop the project team and assign individual operational responsibilities with the Project Manager
Project accounting functions including managing the budget, whilst minimising exposure and risk
Ensure that construction activities move according to the project
Devise the project program and make revisions in cooperation with the Senior Project Manager and Project Director
Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the
Co-ordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, including but not limited to architects, consultants and sub-contractors
Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams
Maintain strict adherence to and uphold all quality and environmental
Ensure that the Project Control System (PCS) is populated in a timely manner
Ensure that the Project Control System (PCS) is utilised and monitored effectively by all members of the project team
Serve as a key link with the client and review all deliverables prepared by the team before passing onto clients
Skills and Experience Required:
Minimum 5 years' experience in construction projects
Relevant qualifications in the field of engineering and construction management
Thorough knowledge of legal and safety standards
Excellent communication skills
Ability to use Microsoft Projects effectively
Ability to plan and organise a team
Effective time management and logical decision-making ability
Capacity to work effectively in pressure filled environments
Strong focus on quality
