You will be working as part of an established and highly experienced IT support team, working in modern offices on the outskirts of Bolton, and providing support to teams based both on site and remote. Our client is recognised for being involved in the development of high profile, innovative projects, and have built a reputation for excellence throughout their journey so far. As our client's 2nd Line IT Engineer, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective IT support service to users across the group, whilst working from and managing the internal ticketing helpdesk system. You will have excellent time management skills and be able to work to service level agreements (SLA), and also have the ability to follow detailed processes in line with company policies and requirements. Ideally, you will have one or more years’ experience of working within an IT support function and have knowledge of Windows and/or Office365 environments. You will be adept when it comes to supporting and communicating with stakeholders at all levels of business and be able to resolve technical issues effectively and efficiently. 2nd Line IT Engineer Duties: Acting as a first point of contact for onsite support, and work with other users remotely to provide effective IT support services. Allocate incoming high level IT requests to other engineers as required. Servicing requests from the internal helpdesk system to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner. Take an active involvement in IT system and software update projects as required. Managing IT Requirements for new starters, role changes and leavers. Taking responsibility for computer builds, hardware and software support, hardware repairs and general troubleshooting. User account setups on the internal system. Support with both mobile and tablet set ups and troubleshooting. Provide support to MS Teams meeting rooms as required. Ensure that all IT support logs are kept updated as required. Purchasing of new IT equipment and parts as required. Desired Skills & Experience: Self-motivated attitude and a willingness to learn. Be adaptable to changing priorities with strong multitasking skills. Good general IT knowledge with ideally 1 years’ experience at 1st line or above. Experience of working in Windows and Office 365 environments. Active Directory experience. Local and remote support experience. Service desk experience, and ITIL (not essential).
