As an Accounts Payable - Finance Team Leader you will oversee day-to-day operations, lead a dynamic team and drive high-profile projects. About the role: As a Finance Team Leader you'll be responsible for the day to day running of the area to ensure high accuracy of work is delivered by the team whilst supporting the business in delivering high profile projects and managing a growing supplier base of active suppliers. You will be responsible for team management across both UK and outsourced teams. As part of the role you will need to highlight areas of non compliance, high volumes and breach of business process & policy as well as reviewing and monitoring the teams output ensuring great attention to detail to deliver work to the highest of standards You will oversee the management of daily and weekly payment runs and forward planning for key payments as well as ledger reconciliations and month end accruals. Month End - your strong financial knowledge will allow you to understand supplier spend trend and assist with balance sheet & cash flow forecasting Training, mentoring and the development of the team will also fall under your jurisdiction ensuring a culture of building excellent relationships with key suppliers, problem solving and ownership. * Experience of working in a Financial Accounting environment
* Part- qualified accountant
* A desire to lead and motivate
* A good communicator, you’ll be comfortable presenting in meetings and liaising with all levels of management
* You possess high level IT skills to complement your ability to analyse and interpret information
* Able to manage and prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met and excellent levels of customer service are maintained.
* You’ll be used to thinking on your feet and making decisions
* You’re able to manage and prioritise your workload and have the flexibility to handle operational issues whilst still hitting other deadlines
Desirable
* Proven track record in managing a high performance team or experience in working in AP
* Strong Management skills / ability to motivate a team
