Are you an experienced CNC Turner looking to work for a well-established local manufacturing business? Do you have a passion for precision engineering, a thorough understanding of the turning process, and the ability to work to tight tolerances and surface finishes?
Our client is a long-established company specializing in the manufacture of low-volume, high-quality tubular and threaded components for sectors including Aerospace, Oil & Gas, and Defense. Due to ongoing expansion, we are actively hiring an experienced CNC Turner to join our engineering team.

* Working hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am – 2:30 pm.

Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in programming, setting, and operating 2-axis turning machines.
* Ability to write CNC programs manually at the machine.
* Experience editing pre-written programs, and full machine setup including material, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
* Ability to perform in-process inspection using measuring equipment.
* Experience producing both one-off and low to medium volume precision parts in various metals.
* Strong knowledge of 2-axis CNC machines, cutting speeds, feeds, and geometric tolerances.
* Understanding of engineering drawings and standards.
* Experience with Fanuc controls is advantageous.
* Solid background in manufacturing within a machine shop environment.
* Hands-on, quality-driven, positive, and self-motivated attitude.
* Ability to work on parts up to ¢300mm x 3m, with lifting equipment; hoist training will be provided.
