The role:
To finish prep patterns and moulds to the highest standards, using various hand tools.
Key Accountabilities:
* Final preparation of patterns and moulds.
* Using a variety of hand tools, small air tools and abrasive paper hand finish master patterns to the highest of standards.
* Spray sealer to patterns then post spraying preparation.
* Work to drawings and working instructions.
* Help develop processes to improve quality and efficiency.
* Ensure the department is kept clean and tidy.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
* Previous experience in a pattern shop or similar environment.
* Ability to read engineering drawings.
* Good attention to detail is essential.
* Able to follow work instructions.
* Good awareness of health and safety.
* Good verbal communication and listening skills.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
* Used to working in a fast-moving environment.
* Flexible approach to whatever it takes to get the job done.
Further Information:
* Working hours are 8.00 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday.
* Overtime available subject to work schedule – at excellent overtime rates.
* 23 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.
