Teacher Vacancy for our Specialist Resourced Provision
St James Primary School
Proud to be part of The Lighthouse Federation
Full Time
M1-UPS3 plus SEN Allowance
Permanent Contract
We are seeking to recruit a teacher for our ‘new’ Specialist Resource Provision (SRP). Our provision is for 16 children (EYFS/KS1 and KS2) with an autism diagnosis and/or communication and interaction needs. The teaching vacancy is in the room for the 8 younger children. You will be working alongside the other teacher and our skilled team of support staff. We also benefit from the strong network we have created with staff from other SRPs across Walsall, working collaboratively to further develop and enhance our good practice.
Our school is part of the Lighthouse Federation, a group of 9 strong schools across Walsall, all graded ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ (OFSTED). We have developed an excellent network of collaborative practice with a strong focus on staff development. We are a fully inclusive school (and federation) and enjoy the challenge of meeting the needs of every child in a unique way.
If you are an energetic, enthusiastic and outstanding teacher, we want you at St James Primary School where children are encouraged to ‘share, care, achieve and believe’! You will inspire our children, ensuring they make good progress and enjoy learning. Specialisms in SEN and SEMH would be an advantage, but we’ll give lots of training anyway.
You should:
* be an inspirational teacher;
* create an irresistible learning experience for every single child;
* believe that all behaviour is communication of an unmet need;
* believe that every day, in every way, everyone matters;
* love working as part of a team;
* be a courageous, innovative teacher who’s not afraid to try something new and learn from that;
* be a reflective practitioner, adapting your practice in response to children’s changing needs;
We can offer:
* a tailor-made induction programme (whatever your career stage) including opportunities for developing practice in our own and other schools in Walsall;
* a personalised professional development plan;
* a career coach;
* Local Authority staff well-being programme;
* an exciting opportunity for extensive professional development across a federation of schools, working with good and outstanding teachers and a range of specialist practitioners in all phases;
* laptop;
* ongoing weekly professional development meetings;
* the support of a specialist teacher of teaching and learning and a curriculum specialist;
* the best children and families;
* opportunities to shadow other colleagues, learning from the best;
* supportive, fun, dedicated, creative and talented colleagues;
* opportunities to support colleagues in a range of settings;
* an exceptionally strong Local School Committee and Federation Executive Board;
