Senior Quality Advisor

Due to growth a growth in work, Murphy have a position for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Advisor to join our Thames Water team based in Kentish Town.
The investment for 2025-2030 programme will see Thames Water continue to invest in its water and wastewater network which serves 15 million people across London and the Thames Valley. Activities will include the new installation and replacement of existing trunk and rising mains; pressure management; the inspection of aqueducts, bridges and tunnels; the rehabilitation of sewers, pumping station refurbishment and gravity solutions to maintain asset health and accommodate growth.
The primary role of the Senior Quality Advisor will be to champion World Class Quality delivery across the Framework, undertaking activities to support Right First Time Every Time outcomes, instil the desired quality culture and provide confidence (to internal and external stakeholders) that we are compliant and continually improve.
What you’ll be doing
- Proactively drive the effective deployment of the Quality Management System including integration of best practice and innovative approaches for continual improvement
- Ensure suitable mechanisms are established and deployed to progressively check and assure compliance; actively participate in checking activities relevant to technical competence
- Support the achievement of ‘Fit to Finish’ working collaboratively with others to enable effective close out of projects
- Conduct regular inspections of sites and workplaces to find whether work is being carried out in accordance with Company Policy, Procedures and other stated requirements
- Establish and deploy mechanisms to track / monitor / report Quality Management performance and identify improvement focus areas
- Champion and support activities including training / coaching / mentoring to instil the knowledge, skills, and mind sets to positively influence behaviours and embed a World-Class Quality culture
- Occasional travel within UK or abroad will be required
Who we are looking for
- Demonstrable site-based experience within civil engineering or construction is essential
- Experience within Water Industry would be beneficial
- Relevant Quality Membership (MCQI) is desirable
- Internal or Lead Auditor qualified
- Solid understanding of the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard
