Location: Redbridge/ Based at a fixed Initial Accommodation site (Some travel may be required based on business need)

Contract Type: Permanent
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week - working a shift pattern including some nights and weekends based on a 6-week shift pattern.
Salary: 31,475.00 per annum
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Initial Accommodation Officer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to Service Users residing in our initial accommodation facilities. This role requires a proactive and empathetic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Service User Support:
* Manage a caseload of Service Users, providing guidance and support.
* Conduct regular welfare checks and address any concerns promptly.
* Signpost Service Users to essential services (GPs, shops, support agencies).
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all Service Users and staff.
* Address safeguarding issues in accordance with company policy.
Accommodation Management:
* Conduct regular inspections of accommodation and report any maintenance issues.
* Ensure property standards are maintained and comply with health and safety regulations.
* Manage inventory and ensure the upkeep of accommodation facilities.
Operational Excellence:
* Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and statutory regulations.
* Participate in service improvement initiatives.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities.
* Liaise effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and external agencies.
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Build and maintain positive relationships with Service Users, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
* Attend relevant meetings and represent the company professionally.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Experience of working with vulnerable adults or in a customer service environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to work flexibly, including some evening and weekend shifts.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
* Experience working in a residential setting.
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
* Experience of working with diverse communities.
