We are recruiting for two Surveyors to join us here at Octavius and support the asset maintenance of clients within our Rail business. One role will focus on Reactive Maintenance and the other on Planned Preventative Maintenance.

What the roles involve:
* Reactive Maintenance QS: This role focuses on maintenance measurement, working closely with the maintenance team. You will be responsible for schedules of rates measurement, desktop measurement, and administrative tasks. This is a hybrid position with weekly travel to Reigate and occasional site visits.
* Planned Preventative Maintenance QS: This role supports planned preventative maintenance for managed stations in London, valued at £5-6m annually. You will be responsible for supplier management and quotation comparisons based on schedules of agreed events. This position is hybrid with 1-2 days a week based in our Reigate office and occasional meetings in London.

About you:
* Reactive Maintenance QS: You are an experienced Quantity Surveyor, preferably with a background in rail, highways, water, or housing. You are proficient in schedules of rates measurement.
* Planned Preventative Maintenance QS: You are a QS or Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for your next step, with a background in rail, building, or property maintenance. You possess traditional QS skills, including supplier management, and quotation comparisons.
You'll bring:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related course (or equivalent qualification/relevant experience).
* Professional membership with a recognised and relevant Professional body (desirable).
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
* Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
