Shift Engineer (Nights)
We are looking for an initiative-taking, and forward-thinking Shift Engineer to support our Engineering department in March.
Our Beetroot operation in March packs over 17.5k tonnes each year, a site with industry-leading automation and a significant workforce, supplying the UK's leading supermarkets with fresh, healthy Beetroot products.
Support the engineering team in providing support for all production activity, responding to equipment and machine breakdowns in a timely manner. Ensure the maintenance of equipment and machinery on site.
Candidate Requirements for our Shift Engineer:
1. Provide a supportive service to the factory to minimise downtime caused by breakdowns.
2. Conduct all such work required in line with the planned preventative maintenance schedule to ensure that all equipment and machinery is adequately maintained.
3. Attend machinery breakdowns to conduct the necessary electrical and/or mechanical diagnostic checks.
4. Attend tasks in an appropriate order to keep production downtime to a minimum.
5. Work in line with the standard working procedures to ensure the highest quality output.
6. Actively suggest improvements to systems and procedures to continually strive to improve the way the department and factory operate, including highlighting safety, efficiency, and reliability where possible.
7. Complete work records daily to support the collation of data for machine downtime and effectiveness.
8. Document which parts are utilized on the job to ensure a maintained stock store.
Working Hours: 18.00 - 06.00 - Panama Shift Pattern - Working 7/14 days, with every-other weekend off.
