Title: Events & Fundraising Co-ordinator

Hours: Full Time (Monday – Friday with some flexibility for events)

Duties:
As part of the Events and Fundraising Team, play a significant role in planning, co-ordinating and overseeing the main fundraising events, taking events through from start to finish with support from colleagues and managers.
Securing sponsorship, sourcing raffle and auction lots, selling tables to ensure funds are raised.
Main point of contact and support to others in specific geographical areas who are fundraising and managing events, keeping accurate records and promote events via social media these activities.
Work closely with community fundraising volunteers to enable them to help at local events.
All aspects of events management with encouragement and opportunities to input own ideas and take as much lead responsibility as confident and agreed between line manager and individual.
Ensure events are fully promoted through social media channels and through other means.
Draft promotional content and ensure wide targeted dissemination.
Keep event planners up to date and in a presentable format.
Work with the Finance officer regarding expenditure and income from events, ensuring invoices are paid and invoices are issued.
Ensure donations and support is acknowledged both to the individual and on social media.
Organising and supporting community fundraising and awareness raising, working with other volunteers and staff members to ensure appropriate cover in place and that the right materials and merchandise is available on the day.
Attend internal fundraising and team meetings, contributing appropriately and working with other team members on all aspects of events and fundraising activities.
Help source and order branded merchandise and review success of.
Help create flyers and promotional material for events.
Make new connections and supporters in different areas of Highland and Moray and to work with these and other supporters, building a good relationship.
Any other administrative tasks associated with events, fundraising, and raising awareness.
Management of sensitive personal and business information and the postholder must work to data protection and confidentiality procedures at all times.

Capable of working both within a team and also alone on specific areas of work.

Training and Support:
Extensive induction to the charity and the working environment.
Regular supervision and meetings with other team members and work as part of a team.
Training to enable you to do your job effectively and will be expected to carry out all mandatory training and any other identified training relevant to your role.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
Be able to work to tight timescales, be highly organised particularly in relation to events management action deadlines.
Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload.
Ability to speak in public and attend networking events.
Creative approach to work.
Interest in working for a charity in the area of mental health.
Administrative skills including accurate record keeping.
Knowledge of data protection and maintaining confidentiality at all times, including reporting information in accordance with policies and procedures in events records.

Flexibility:
You will need to be flexible in this role as events and fundraising often occur in evenings and at weekends and a commitment to covering these when required will be needed as well as obtaining support from others.
Desirable:
Previous experience of fundraising or events management.
