Job Title: Compliance Assistant
Location: Rochester. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £25,000- £26,000 Depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Maintain Compliance registers, update records, provide primary administration of functional shared mailbox – including daily maintenance, follow-up and organisation of admin tasks and correspondence
* Work with other members of the team and business functions through planning, supporting and capturing results of internal audits and compliance checks
* Provide support to UK & US Export Control Licencing activity within the team, including but not limited to record-keeping, compliance checks and licence management
* Work with other members of the team to prepare and deploy relevant compliance documents in support of International trading activity
* Provide support to the team on compliance investigations, process improvement initiatives and site-wide business tool transformation programmes
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Min 5 x GCSEs A*-C or 9-4 (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English
* Previous office administration experience
* Meticulous administrative skills to ensure creation and maintenance of compliance records is of a high standard.
* Excellent IT skills including Microsoft office and the ability to present information in a clear and concise way
* Tactful and able to deal with sensitive information to ensure such data is handled appropriately
Desirable:
* Understanding/Experience of working with policy procedures

The Compliance Team:
Work with numerous business functions to provide day-to-day guidance on compliance issues, with particular emphasis on meeting UK & US Export Control regulations and appropriate corporate/local policies.
Collaborate with peers to seek and introduce best practice and drive compliance related continuous improvement initiatives.
