Teaching Personnel are looking for a full time Learning Support Assistant to work in a mainstream primary school in Bolton. This will be a specialised role in educating pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH). The pupils come from a variety of backgrounds and either have an Education Health Care Plan (ECHP) or are undergoing statutory assessment. The students will have all been identified as having additional needs and as such are better suited to 1:1 or 2:1 learning with an individualised curriculum based on their specific needs.
The school supports young people to develop their emotional wellbeing and social skills. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will help students cope better with challenges during their school day or at home.
Applicants will work in a classroom supporting teachers, assistants, and fellow support workers on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis with pupils. The successful Learning Support Assistant will help establish positive relationships, emotional wellbeing, and develop social skills. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone considering a career change or with a keen interest in special needs.
Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm
Full Time: Monday - Friday
Location: Bolton Area
Pay: £12.90 - £14 per hour

* Keep records and write reports when required.
* Ensure the highest level of safety and safeguarding.
