What we'll need you to bring
1. Professional qualification i.e. HNC in a relevant discipline (Business Admin/Secretarial Studies/Public Administration) or equivalent previous experience in a secretarial role (ie at least 5 years experience as a department/personal secretary)
2. Well-developed interpersonal skills in customer care.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Good organisational and planning skills.
5. Understanding of a range of procedures and processes.
6. Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure.
7. Proficient I.T. skills, which include a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
8. Ensuring confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times.
It would be great if you also have
9. SVQ/RSA3/HNC in Secretarial Studies or equivalent
10. Extensive previous experience in a secretarial role
11. Working knowledge of SSTS/Staff bank system
12. Working knowledge of collecting/collating and processing statistics to deadline
13. Self-motivated person
14. Possess excellent I.T. skills (to include database) and time management skills
15. Excellent Interpersonal skills
16. Good presentation skills
17. Ability to work under pressure
18. Positive approach to change/flexibility
19. Good team player

21. Fixed Term or Secondment For 6 Months

23. 18.60 hours
24. Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
25. Please note this is a fixed term post for 6 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Management Team within Coathill Hospital.
