Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a collaborative company recruit a Suspension Engineer (Damper/Sensors), and the role comes with an umbrella contract rate of £25.96 per hour (Inside IR35).
As a Suspension Engineer (Damper/Sensors), you will be working in the Body Engineering Team. The role requires you to be confident in your work and be a natural communicator. The successful candidate will have responsibility for design and engineering delivery to production of Damper/Sensor Components for Suspension Systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop/design components through close working relationships with interfacing teams (e.g. BIW, Chassis, Powertrain, Electrical, Manufacturing, Service).
2. Manage Damper/Sensor suppliers to deliver required designs for prototype builds and production.
3. Apply Failure Mode Avoidance techniques (FMEA).
4. Manage Design Verification Plan for testing conducted at the supplier and record these using the requirement management system.
5. Release and manage engineering designs using internal systems.
Qualifications
To apply for this role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:
1. Computer Aided Engineering skills (e.g. CAD, FEA, Matlab)
2. Project delivery to quality, cost, and timing targets
3. Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
