£586.08 per week (plus holiday pay) working 48 hours per week
About the Role
Cheltenham Ladies’ College welcomes pupils from leading Japanese schools to improve their English during the summer months. Each summer school comprises of between 25-40 Japanese girls, aged 15-17 years. The pupils have English lessons, but also have a busy itinerary of excursions and extra-curricular activities. We aim to give the pupils a taste of what it is like to study at a leading British boarding school.
We have an opportunity for 12 Course Assistants to assist with the organisation and running of all summer school activities including: the excursions, transfers to the airport, and activities such as pottery painting and fashion shows. They will have pastoral responsibility for the students during their stay, and are responsible for making sure our guests are safe, happy and participating in all activities.
The Course Assistants will stay in a boarding house with the students and as such accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract, and meals when on duty.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have the ability to speak English clearly, coherently and confidently to large groups of people and will have a flexible attitude with the ability to work potentially unsociable hours.
Course Assistants will be ambassadors of Cheltenham Ladies’ College and therefore their conduct should reflect College’s values and ethics.
