Anderson Knight is currently recruiting a Senior Buyer for one of our clients based in Bathgate. As the Senior Indirect Buyer, you will be managing the sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management of non-core business categories, including services, IT, marketing, facilities, HR, and professional services. Key Responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end procurement process for indirect categories, including identifying needs, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships. Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect spend that align with organisational goals and achieve cost savings. Lead sourcing initiatives for a variety of categories, including IT, marketing, professional services, and other indirect spend areas. Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, service levels, and contract terms. Work closely with internal stakeholders across various departments (HR, IT, Finance, Legal, etc.) to understand business requirements and deliver tailored procurement solutions. Drive supplier performance management and ensure suppliers meet agreed-upon performance, delivery, and quality standards. Conduct spend analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities, while also ensuring compliance with procurement policies and sustainability initiatives. Oversee the preparation of procurement reports and provide regular updates to senior management on category performance, savings, and supplier developments. Ensure procurement best practices are followed, and that procurement activities align with organisational standards, regulatory requirements, and corporate social responsibility goals. Key Skills & Experience: Proven experience as an Indirect Buyer or Senior Buyer, with a focus on non-core categories (e.g., IT, HR, facilities, marketing, professional services). Strong negotiation and contract management skills with the ability to drive value in indirect spend categories. In-depth understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and sourcing strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse spend data, identify opportunities, and drive cost-saving initiatives. Experience working with procurement systems, ERP, or sourcing platforms. A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. CIPS or other procurement certifications are a plus.
