As a Packing Operator you will be responsible for safely ensuring the on-time production of materials which conform to current best practices and Quality standards, and is aligned to the expectations set by the Product Leads. What You'll Do
* Adhere to Abbott Dundee Health & Safety culture.
* Produce rare reagents, intermediates, and bulk reagents per the Operations Master Schedule.
* Plan and coordinate personal workload for production assignments.
* Perform ERP transactions for works order and inventory management.
* Take responsibility and accountability for personal workload, ensuring high-quality documentation and timely error correction.
* Collaborate with peers to ensure on-time delivery of the production schedule for internal and external customers.
* Develop a comprehensive understanding of products, processes, and procedures.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and general housekeeping duties.
* Engage in continuous professional development and site training.
* Foster excellent relations with the department team and wider Operations and Quality Control groups.
* Propose ideas to improve communication and productivity.
* Coach and mentor peers in the Technical Operations group.
* Follow policies in the Abbott Employee Handbook.
* Perform other duties as requested by Line or Department Manager.
Modern Apprenticeship Level 4/HND/HNC or equivalent and/or
* SQA Qualification at Advanced Higher/Higher/Nat 5/Nat 4 level in science and/or maths
* and/or relevant experience in a regulated industry
Preferred Skills
* Technical understanding of product functions and performance.
* Knowledge of production process control and best practices.
* Navigate EDMS and execute document control.
* Apply SPC techniques and generate trend reports.
* Basic understanding of ERP costs and influence.
* Understand and process CAPA and Change Control records.
* Use RCA tools like A3/DMAIC.
* Contribute to Risk Assessment, Risk Management, and FMEA.
* Understand and execute Process Validation principles.
