ROLE
As a key member of the Liquitek design team, the Project Engineer will deliver engineering and design services across water and wastewater projects. This role is part of a highly skilled project team, and we welcome professionals with backgrounds in process, mechanical, civil, or electrical engineering to apply or express interest for current and future opportunities.
The role involves data analysis, capacity assessment, drafting, calculations, and design work throughout all stages of the engineering cycle, including front-end engineering, concept design, detailed design, testing, and commissioning.
The Project Engineer will have access to Liquitek’s technical resources and receive support from both Liquitek’s technical team and Century Engineering’s mechanical design team.
This position collaborates closely with business development managers, project managers, design partners, suppliers, and contractors. It plays a vital role in fostering a culture of service excellence and ensuring project success by providing critical engineering input into proposals, designs, and project delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS
1. Customer Proposal Development
2. Provide technical input
3. Review technical components of contract document, comprehend and record technical obligations and client expectations in Design Basis Report
4. Develop practical, cost-effective, and fit-for-purpose engineering solutions as required in consultation with client, equipment suppliers, other engineering disciplines and manufacturing resources
5. Modelling and calculations for equipment selection and sizing
6. Design engineering input to relevant areas such as Process Flow Diagram, Piping & Instrument Diagram, Hydraulic Profile, Site Layout, General Arrangement drawings, single line diagrams, load and cable schedules, etc.
7. Draft design documentation such as Detailed Design Report, Control Philosophy and Functional Description where required
8. Draft design drawings and 3D models using Autocad, SolidWorks and Inventor
9. Liaise with design engineers and specialists and provide input to the development of hydraulics, civil, mechanical, and electrical design where needed
10. Draft commissioning and testing plans and undertake commissioning work where required
