About this Vacancy:
The tooling engineer's responsibilities include enhancing existing designs and developing new ones, and providing technical support to clients. You should be able to collaborate with other engineers and manufacturing staff.
To be successful as a tooling engineer, you should demonstrate superb attention to detail and be able to manage your time efficiently. Outstanding tooling engineers should be deadline-driven, meticulous, and consistently produce high-quality work.
Duties:
* Utilizing CAD/AutoCAD to analyse and improve existing tooling designs.
* Developing new tooling designs tailored to client or project needs.
* Creating prototypes and testing innovative designs for quality assurance.
* Liaising with teams at manufacturing sites to gather data and refine designs.
* Preparing and sharing tooling drawings and designs, incorporating feedback.
* Building relationships with vendors and contractors to secure the best deals.
* Supporting production with engineering expertise and troubleshooting.
About You:
* Qualifications: HNC/HND in Toolmaking and Engineering (degree preferred).
* Practical experience in a manufacturing environment (Automotive and Injection Moulding experience is ideal).
* Proficiency in CAD and AutoCAD software.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.
* A keen eye for detail, with the ability to manage time effectively.
* Leadership, flexibility, and a conscientious approach to your work.
