We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Housing Support Worker to join a committed team in Camden. In this role, you will provide essential support to clients, helping them navigate housing issues, access services, and maintain their tenancies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Offering practical assistance and guidance to clients in managing their housing needs, including advice on tenancy rights, responsibilities, and housing options.
* Providing support to clients facing housing crises, including homelessness prevention, eviction prevention, and resolving housing-related issues.
* Developing and implementing individualised support plans in collaboration with clients, setting goals and monitoring progress to ensure effective outcomes.
* Assisting clients in accessing relevant community resources, services, and benefits, including financial assistance, health care, and social services.
* Acting as an advocate for clients, representing their interests in interactions with landlords, housing authorities, and other relevant organisations.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, support plans, and outcomes, providing regular reports to the management team.
Requirements:
* Experience in housing support, social work, or a related field is highly desirable.
* A strong ability to engage with clients compassionately and effectively, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their unique situations.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and maintain detailed records.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex and challenging situations with professionalism.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
