Having recently undergone a £5.6m refurbishment, Billesley Manor Hotel is set in 11 acres of parkland and boasts 71 bedrooms, Stuarts Restaurant and the Great Hall Bar, 12 Meeting Rooms and Wedding & Events facilities for up to 100 guests. This stunning 16 th century Elizabethan manor house is located just 3 miles from Shakespeare’s Stratford-Upon-Avon.
Requirements:
As Financial Controller at the Billesley Manor Hotel you will manage the on property self accounting function with support and back up from the central accounting team. You will take responsibility for all hotel accounting and financial controls ensuring efficient and effective daily control systems are implemented and followed. A particular emphasis on driving operational performance through financial analysis and benchmarking will be required.
An integral part of the hotel Senior Management team you will need to drive commercial awareness across the business and support the General Manager in the development and delivery of a finance strategy. You will produce the monthly P&L and balance sheet reconciliation pack and be expected to provide commentary on the financial performance. You will also take the lead on the forecasting and budgeting processes.
There will be a close direct involvement with the hotel owners and their representatives.
The ideal person will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar position and will have the ability to deliver efficiency and meet targets set out by the General Manager and Chief Financial Officer.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, has a good eye for detail and willing to learn as part of this growing team.
Duties will include:
* Oversee the accounts function, processes and financial controls in relation to the Hotel.
* Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Groups accounting records and financial system.
* Produce the monthly management accounts and finance reporting pack.
* Reviewing balance sheets ensuring that the assets and liabilities are an accurate reflection of the company’s financial position.
* Ad hoc reporting request.
* Provide the quarterly bank compliance testing information.
* Lead the weekly forecasting and annual budget processes.
* Managing, motivating and developing the Finance team, reviewing performance and setting objectives.
* Drive operational performance through financial analysis and benchmarking
