Overall job purpose
We are hiring an experienced finance systems accountant with essential Workday configuration experience.
The successful candidate must have gained at least 3 years of Workday configuration experience including a full implementation cycle for Workday Financial and Financial planning and will possess relentless enthusiasm whilst evidencing an agile and commercial mindset.
This role requires someone with significant and in-depth systems and accounting knowledge who can decode complex requirements and translate those into a configured solution.
They will have robust and thought-leading expertise in problem-solving, prioritisation and expectation management.
Working closely with internal finance colleagues and supported by a small team of Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts, the post holder will initially support the development of the finance configuration design covering R2R, O2C, P2P and Payroll but will also support the wider requirements and interdependencies.
Responsibilities
1. Manage the configuration of Workday Finance and Financial Planning modules.
2. Evaluate and then propose adaptations to achieve the optimum configuration.
3. Build robust and enduring relationships with stakeholders.
4. Identify Risks and recommend solutions.
5. Contribute to the Workday training content for SMEs and Internal Workday Specialists.
6. Work in collaboration with the wider project team particularly those within the Functional Design Stream.
Professional and Personal Qualities
7. Minimum of 2 years of Workday implementation experience (including FINS)
8. Qualified accountant (or qualified by experience).
9. A credible individual with excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills, both written and verbal
10. Ability to negotiate and prioritise conflicting demands.
11. Focused and resilient to achieving deadlines or resolving problems.
12. Strong IT skill set with advanced experience in Microsoft applications (experience in data manipulation and automation software would be preferred)
