MAINTENANCE ENGINEER DUNGANNON
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will undertake a specialist and skilled role striving to achieve optimum levels of plant efficiency and product quality. The post holder will be required to safely operate the computer-controlled blending and pressing plant to efficiently produce high-quality products that meet customer demands. On occasions, this role will also include the control of weighbridge operations including raw material intake and finished product loading.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* To safely operate plant machinery to maximise output whilst maintaining high quality standards.
* To maintain all production-related paperwork.
* To ensure that Health and Safety standards are maintained on site.
* The hand weighing of additives.
* To adopt a “clean as you go” attitude towards mill hygiene.
* To assist the maintenance function when required.
* To participate in effective shift handovers to ensure the smooth continuation of production.
* To collect, review and test samples to ensure quality targets are being met.
* To undertake any training and development requirements. This role requires some forklift driving of which training can be provided.
* To participate in a reasonable amount of overtime (Paid at overtime rates) and show a degree of flexibility around shifts and shift patterns.
* On occasions the successful candidate may be asked to cover shifts in the weighbridge office.
* To carry out any other duties as required by management.
You will be joining a small but well-established and experienced team. The team comprises production and loading operators as well as maintenance staff and management. It is a closely knit team who work together to maintain high standards with a level of flexibility on both sides.
This is a shift role comprising of 5 x 8-hour shifts rotating on a weekly basis. Shifts start at 10pm on a Sunday night and finish at 10pm on a Friday. Early shift (6am-2pm), evening shift (2pm-10pm) and night shift (10pm-6am).
The Candidate
* Experience in a feed mill environment or other relevant fast-paced production facility would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
* Candidates must have the ability to work on their own and as part of a team.
* A good standard of English is required.
