ELFT has long been recognised as a centre of excellence for mental and health care, innovation and improvement. So it is a very exciting time for you to come and work for us. Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive - so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.
Job overview
Would you like the opportunity to join an innovative, developing Occupational Therapy Service that actively encourages and supports professional and service development? Due to upcoming maternity leave, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapist (OT) to work in the Intensive Support Team (IST), which provides multi-disciplinary assessment, short-term treatment, training, advice and practical support for adults with a learning disability who are experiencing a crisis in relation to a behaviour that challenges, and/or requiring support with their mental health.

You will provide specialist OT assessment and intervention to the service users of IST across Bedfordshire and Luton, using evidence based practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions with a focus on enabling an individual's occupational functioning.
