Job Title : Support Worker - Children and Young People Location : DE75 area Salary: Unqualified Support Worker starting salary £23,423.40 per annum Qualified Support Worker from £24,173.40 to £25,673.40 per annum Sleep ins are £40 per sleep, on average extra £2,080.00 per annum Full time, permanent role, 39 hours per week VALID UK DRIVERS LICENCE IS ESSENTIAL We are currently recruiting for Support Workers to join our prestigious client's team at their children's residential service in the Heanor area of Derbyshire. This children's residential service specialises in the care and support for children and young people with learning difficulties, promoting independence, education and protection. Responsibilities: To promote, safeguard and protect the welfare of each young person Build and maintain positive and trusting relationships To assist in meal preparation To assist and support young people through the process of leaving care Observe and assess behaviours To engage in and supervise day to day care practices To develop and maintain professional relationships with families and other agencies Ensure that all young people have care plans and to develop, implement and review packages of care Requirements: Full UK drivers licence is essential Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is preferred but not essential Previous experience of learning disabilities or social, emotional and behavioural difficulties Be committed to promoting the safeguarding and wellbeing of the children and young people Shift Patterns Shifts are made up of a combination of earlies, lates and full days with regular sleep ins.
