About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Stockport. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and have a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young people. Salary: Up to £500 per week. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one support to students with various learning difficulties, including autism spectrum disorders, dyslexia, and other special educational needs. Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored educational programs that meet the individual needs of students. Help create an inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and development for all students. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding individual achievements and areas for improvement. Support students during lessons, breaks, and extracurricular activities to ensure their safety and well-being. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and external professionals to develop effective strategies for supporting students’ learning. Qualifications: Previous experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs is highly desirable. A relevant qualification in education or child development (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents. Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
